Janus Vaten is committed to making its processes and products more sustainable and invests in lasting relationships with its partners and clients. One of the challenges is to carry out all processes with the lowest possible energy consumption, the minimum amount of residual waste, and the least possible air and water emissions. To further reduce carbon footprint, we use solar panels to supply green electricity for our production processes.

Steel reconditioned drums compared with new

Reconditioning 1 drum instead of producing a new one yields a CO2 saving of around 30 kg. A 30 kg CO2 saving is equivalent to driving around 250 km in a car. Janus Vaten saved 25.9 million kg CO2  in 2019. That is 215 million kilometres, or more than 5000 times around the earth.

What we do with plastic and metal

To complete the circle, packaging is recycled sustainably at the end of its life cycle, to turn the raw materials into new industrial packaging. We do this with various partners for both steel and plastic packaging, all of us helping to reduce CO2.
